Roy G. Quade lives and works in Calgary, Canada where he has been a bowmaker since 1987. His violin bows, viola bows, cello bows and bass bows have all received awards at major international competitions. Musicians around the world value Quade bows for their fine playing qualities as well as their beauty and craftsmanship.
Quades initial training was with William Salchow of New York. Subsequently
his skills and style were futher developed at the well know summer workshops
at Oberlin College lead by Stephane Thomachot of Paris.
